Biography

Tian Long is a chief physician in the Department of Urology at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital and head of the Andrology Group. He trained under Academician Guo Yinglu and has extensive expertise in male reproductive microsurgery, male reproductive system tumors, and related fields. As the founding Executive Chairman of the Chinese Urologic Andrology Cornell Alumni Association and a member of multiple international associations, his academic influence extends both domestically and internationally. In 2024, he and Associate Chief Physician Han Hu jointly supervised the completion of China’s first complete penile amputation and replantation surgery, successfully anastomosing the bilateral cavernous arteries and providing important experience for the management of rare trauma. In clinical practice, he focuses on the needs of pediatric patients and once led the surgical repair of postoperative penile loss in a 10-year-old boy, reflecting both professional competence and humanistic care.

As an expert in male reproductive microsurgery, Tian Long focuses on optimizing male genital reconstruction techniques and innovating endocrine therapy, and his research findings have been applied in the treatment of rare clinical cases. In international exchanges, he promotes the development of robot-assisted microsurgery through associations such as RAMSES.
